Once again, Governor Rick Scott shows his contempt for the laws of Florida as hatred for the average citizen. With a history of fraud in his business career and his perverted loyalty to criminals and corruption, Rick Scott has decided that he has the right to allow a cold blooded killer to escape justice and dishonor his sworn oath as the chief executive of the State of Florida. On April 23, 2012, after not acknowledging a letter dated March 27, 2012 in which attorney Mark Gelman, who represents murder victim Murray Cohen's family requested Scott's assistance and called for a special prosecutor to be appointed. The son of murder victim Murray Cohen called the Governor's office and was told that Scott will not get involved.
Rick Scott has chosen to keep the truth from the citizens of Florida and the nation that former Governor Jeb Bush personally interfered and stopped justice from being served. Bush allowed a cold blooded killer to get away with poisoning, torturing and suffocating a 71 year old Sarasota retiree for financial gain. Former Sarasota homicide detective, Garry Ferguson, investigated Murray Cohen's death on behalf of Murray's family and uncovered a witness who claimed that Murray's killer bragged about being social friends with Jeb Bush's wife. Governor Scott is protecting Jeb Bush from accountability and political embarrassment because of his possible VP slot on the Romney ticket and a future presidential run in 2016.

Murder in Florida is Now Legal
January 13th, 2012:
Today, January 13, 2012, marks the ninth anniversary that a cold blooded killer escaped justice and an American family denied their constitutional rights to equal justice, and the right to life.
This severe case of American injustice started the day Murray Cohen was poisoned, tortured and suffocated by his wife of three weeks, Maria Amurrio Cohen. After murdering Murray Cohen, Amurrio-Cohen was hired as a Juvenile Probation Officer for Sarasota County employed by the State of Florida.
Murderer Amurrio-Cohen was having a romantic affair with Sarasota Sheriff's detective Jeffrey Bell who was supposed to be investigating her for murder. Bell made sure from day one Amurrio-Cohen would get away with murder. See Letter
The Sheriff at the time of Murray Cohen's death was William Balkwill, one of the most corrupt Sheriff's the State of Florida ever employed. With the blessing of Balkwill, Murray Cohen's murder was covered up and obstruction of justice was committed.
Balkwill announced he would not run for another term as Sheriff. Eventually, Balkwill was exposed for what he really stood for and was charged with stealing public property and was found guilty of destroying evidence in a civil case in which he was the defendant. (link to News article)
Sarasota Sheriff's detective, Chris Hallisey, who was assigned to look into the Cohen case falsified witness statements and with the help of Detective Dave Scott and Sergeant Paul Richards, altered evidence of murder. Eventually, Detective Chris Hallisey was arrested for felony doctor shopping and possession of a large quantity of the pain killer, Oxycodone. See News Article. In the ultimate move to obstruct justice and make sure that the true cause of Murray Cohen's death would never be known, Hallisey, Scott and Richard altered the 911 recording in which Murray could be heard being murdered in the back ground . They deliberately took the crystal clear digital recording of the 911 call and transferred it on to a cassette tape. They then made multiple generations of the cassette tape until Murray's voice could hardly be heard. This poor quality version was sent to the FBI requesting an analysis. Hallisey, Scott and Richard knew that the FBI would not be able to clearly hear Murray's voice or be able to determine if the voice in the background was coming from inside his house. See letter. The FBI report which was used to neutralize any attempt to prove murder: See FBI Report. Unfortunately for Hallisey, Scott and Richards, they made their deliberately poor quality version after Murray Cohen's son obtained a clear version through a public records request shortly after his death.
On December 7th, 2005, Murray Cohen’s son hired computer expert, William Tidwell to retrieve the pristine crystal clear 911 call directly from the hard drive of the system in place the day Murray Cohen was murdered. In spite of a court order to retain and protect the hard drive containing the call, Mr. Tidwell discovered that all the 911 calls for January 13, 2003 were deliberately deleted from the main hard drive and the back up auxiliary recorder. See Tidwell Affidavit. Sheriff’s Counsel/ Major, Kurt Hoffman was present for the examination. Hoffman was shown what Mr. Tidwell discovered. Murray Cohen’s son demanded an investigation of the deleted calls. Hoffman refused. Murray Cohen’s son contacted the Orlando Sentinel newspaper to tell his story, because the Sarasota Herald Tribune newspaper had no interest. The day the Orlando Sentinel did a public records request for access to the hard drive, Sheriff’s Counsel Kurt Hoffman ran to Circuit Court Judge, Andrew Owens and obtained an ex-parte Court order allowing Hoffman to have the hard drive destroyed.
Murray Cohen died an unattended death with a lethal poison found near his body. In spite of Florida law requiring an autopsy, and his family requesting one, no autopsy was performed.
The Governor at the time of Murray Cohen’s death was Jeb Bush. Jeb Bush made the mistake of ordering a review of the Sarasota Sheriffs case file regarding the death of Murray Cohen. See Article. Investigative reporter Doug Smith, of Fox 13 Tampa investigated the death of Murray Cohen and uncovered a wealth of irrefutable evidence which pointed to murder and obstruction of justice. Investigative reporter Doug Smith, recommended to Murray Cohen's family that they contact Governor Bush's office and request that he appoint a special prosecutor and order FDLE to do a full blown investigation. See Letter. Murray Cohen's family's request was denied. The rest of Bush's term, Murray Cohen's family endured abuse from the State of Florida and the denial of justice continued. After Bush's second term, Charlie Crist became the next governor of Florida. During his four years in office, pleas for assistance to obtain justice fell on deaf ears. See Letter. Murray Cohen’s Family’s pro bono Attorney, Mark Gelman of Jacksonville, requested a meeting with Crist and it was denied.
On September 29, 2011, attorney Mark Gelman sent a letter to the current Governor of Florida, Rick Scott requesting his assistance as the chief executive of Florida to help facilitate justice being served and allowing Murray' family closure. See Letter. To this day, Attorney Gelman’s letter and request for a meeting has been met with silence.
The state of Florida refuses to admit that their classification of Murray Cohen's death as natural is a mistake and false. The state of Florida refuses to prosecute Murray’s killer and hold the people accountable who have committed obstruction of justice in the Case of Murray Cohen. The state of Florida is making sure that they never have to admit or face liability for the malicious attacks that have been done to a murder victim's family and the pillaging of his $1.3million dollar estate. Only assistance from out side the state of Florida and public exposure will correct the denial of justice, and bring a cold blooded killer to justice. The media who covered the death of Murray Cohen have done a great disservice to the American justice system, the people of Sarasota and Murray Cohen's family when they gave up their integrity as journalists and catered to the wishes of the powerful politicians in the State of Florida who wanted the story stopped. These news outlets that covered this story failed everyone in the State of Florida when they accepted no answers to legitimate questions raised during their investigation into the death of Murray Cohen.

As of 5/14/12, the Sarasota Sheriff's department has never turned over or allowed access to the original first generation copy which was archived onto a DVD. After denying the existence of the archived DVD, Hoffman changed his story and came up with numerous archived DVDs. Jeb Bush, Governor Charlie Crist and Governor Rick Scott for justice

Meet Murray's Killer, the Wife of Three Weeks Who Also Works as a DEA Informant
Maria Amurrio, who also goes by the following names: Maria Antonieta Amurrio Fernandez, Maria Antonieta Amurrio, and Maria Cohen. Maria lives in Sarasota, Florida and is an employee of the State of Florida as a Juvenile Probation Officer for Sarasota County and a DEA informant. She was a special narcotics agent for her home country of Bolivia. The poisonous substance called Corazol Solution which was found in Murray's bedroom the day of his death. Corazol is made in Amurrio's home country of Bolivia. Corazol Solution is banned by the FDA for human consumption in the USA. On January 27, 2011, after taking Murray’s life, stealing his grandson’s college fund, Murray’s $269,000 retirement account, all his other bank accounts, a 1936 antique truck Murray bequest to his grandson which was to be handed down from generation to generation, all his family heirlooms, filing a false accounting of Murray’s assets, committing perjury numerous times under oath, the murderer’s hand picked judge, twelfth judicial circuit court, Thomas Gallen who for four years dismissed motions with no hearings and refused to hear evidence of murder and theft, discharged Amurrio as personal representative of her victim’s estate.
Amurrio’s hand picked Judge, Thomas Gallen trashed and disrespected Murray Cohen’s Will and murderer Amurrio, who was the personal representative of Murray’s estate, left Murray’s only grandson who was the major beneficiary of Murray’s Will not one penny. Amurrio admitted under oath and in a video deposition that shortly after Murray’s death she transferred all of Murray’s assets into her own personal account. Documents show after stealing Murray’s assets, she put the money in trust for her own son Boris Arias, who resides in the state of New Jersey.

Letter from my Sarasota attorney to Governor Crist seeking assistance which has not been acknowledged since January 17, 2007:
Why didn't FDLE thoroughly question audio expert Ginsberg?
On December 7th, 2007, Certified Dictaphone Expert, William Tidwell, conducted a sixteen hour examination of the hard drive which contained the 911 recording regarding my father’s death. The name of the system in place the day of my father’s death was a Freedom Dictaphone System.
Mr. Tidwell was assigned to the Sarasota Sheriff’s 911 call center by Dictaphone to handle any trouble shooting or problems with the system in use. No one knew the system better than Mr. Tidwell.
During the sixteen hour examination, Mr. Tidewell discovered that all the 911 calls made the day of my father’s death, (January 13, 2003), were deliberately deleted from the main recorder and the back up auxiliary recorder. Here is his affidavit which was ignored by Sheriff Balkwill and his General Counsel, Kurt Hoffman. Both refused our request for an immediate investigation. To this day, the Sarasota Sheriff’s Department refuses to allow anyone to hear the master copy or the archived DVD pertaining to the 911 call regarding my father’s death.

Why would agent Rose get rid of the copy he obtained from Sarasota Sheriff’s Department?
